As Belgrade's first pizzeria, Košava over the years served its customers with popular Italian national dishes. Outgrowing the usual image of a simple pizza place, it soon became one of the most reputable Italian trattorias in Belgrade serving more than 100 Italian traditional recipes.

Thanks to its experienced chefs who for many years prepared delicious dishes in many reputable restaurants across Europe, finest quality home-made pastas, various meat dishes, desserts topped with hand-picked berries from the slopes of the mountain Kopaonik are only a few of the delicacies on the menu at Košava.

Košava’s menu includes nothing but best quality ingredients, delicious taste and fine presentation and all in a naturally, homely setting of a friendly atmosphere. The family-style portions, described as double size, are closer to triple. Even so, Košava is much more of a casual neighborhood place than a destination for big groups.

Djordje Pavlov, alias Cortina

Once the King of the catwalk, Djordje Cortina is the trademark of Košava. Eternal celebrity and famous restaurateur, Cortina is the heart and soul of the first Italian trattoria in Belgrade. Still very much a trend-setter, he enjoys skiing and can be seen on the famous Cortina d’Ampezzo slopes year after year. He is a proud father of an emerging sports star.

Zoran Kostic , alias Kiza

Kiza is one of the rare connoisseurs of the delicate art of the French bakery in Belgrade. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing restaurants. For many years Kiza ”shared apron” with many famous Serbian chefs over the years. Loves to travel and is the proud father of three boys and two girls.

Vlajko Vujovic

Vlajko is the hedonist in the true meaning of the word. He enjoys good food and wine, connoisseur of the fine arts, collects two- and four-wheel old-timers and enjoys traveling to the far and exotic destinations. Loves all about Italy.

The ever-so-friendly and homely atmosphere created by the artist Olja Bursać-Bursać with each piece of furniture hand-painted and decorated with floral motives, ceramics lamps, oil portraits and landscape motives and wall lighting set into the walls, give Košava the uniqueness it has become famous for.

The latest addition to the decor is the wooden chest filled with the limited edition of hand-made souvenirs including decorative items, lamps, small wall-plates, flower-pots, ceramic-dolls, T-shirts and many more.

Guests may purchase any of the items on the display of the limited edition series only while the stock of collector’s items lasts.

Each year will be marked with a new limited edition items celebrating special events at Košava.
